Accidents are the leading cause of injury and death for children ages 14 and younger. Ninety percent of these accidental injuries could have been prevented.

Safe Kids Cleveland County, North Carolina is a coalition comprised of government, health and safety agencies, educators, businesses and individuals dedicated to reducing these childhood injuries in Cleveland County. This is accomplished through a combination of advocacy, education, engineering and enforcement.

Safe Kids Cleveland County is one of more than 450 coalitions affiliated with Safe Kids Worldwide, an organization whose mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury. We are also a proud member of Safe Kids NC and Safe Kids USA.
